Friendship. A word that means so much to some and so little to others. What does it mean to be a true friend? Does it mean babysitting in a clutch or listening when she is mad? Does it mean you are only around when called upon or all of the above? Deep down we have to understand to have good friends we have to BE a good friend.
Savannah Jones is a self made woman. Not the way that you and I would thing, she is made because she know how to find money. Savannah’s daughter, Princess, is her world. Dr. Eve Carleton has it all. She is married to the love of her life, she is an ER doctor and she wants for nothing. What Eve realizes is that life has a way of playing a cruel joke on you and you have to figure out which way to go next or do you just stay still. How do you come back from such a life shattering event? Should she fight or should she just lay down?
On The 7th Day is a freshman novel from new author Tamiko R. Evans. The story of these three women is a story that you have seen or lived before. These women could be you and your friends on any day and you know how they are feeling. I like the way each chapter starred a character but they all were in the storyline. You never felt like you lost anyone. It is a realistic story which makes it an easy read. It is not overly emotional but you will have empathy for the characters. I think as this new author writes more stories, she will build on the emotion. Her stories will have you talking back to the characters, like this story starts to. All in all it is a good freshman novel, looking forward to seeing more from this author in the future.

Marriage. A lifelong commitment. A vow between two lovers. To love, honor and respect until death due us part. That is a heavy statement for anyone to make one time, but when you make that vow multiple times people start talking. Are you really marrying for love or is it something else? How do you know when it’s enough?
In these times, words have different meanings than what they used to have. You can not use certain words with everyone because everyone is not deserving of the pure definition. Take the word friend, it used to mean something if you were called a friend. It meant that another person trusted you enough to consider you like you were a part of their family. With the way that society is now with everyone for themselves, the word friend is thrown around so loosely that you might as well be a stranger. For that very reason, you have to choose your words and friends wisely or you might just end up with someone who you would consider an enemy rather than a friend.
Relationship: a state of affairs existing between those having relations or dealings.
Dreams. Dreams are a series of thoughts, images or emotions that occur while sleeping. Having daydreams is something that is pleasurable for you while you are awake. Most of us dream about what our lives would be like when we get older or what we want to be/want to do in life. Whenever you hear someone say “I’m living the dream”, the things they thought about when they were younger is happening for them now. Is it possible to live the dream or is the best we can do is hope for the best?
Differences are what makes you unique. There are many things that cause us to be different but at the same time it is what makes us similar. Love is an act that is obtainable by everyone and everything but sometimes things are not supposed to love one another ~ that is according to the ones who feel like they speak for everyone. We are in times where love appears different but who says that different is not good for us?
In the world that we live in today it seems like race determines everyones motive. You can barely talk to anyone without race coming into the conversation, since when did race become so important? When and how did race make decisions for the smallest of things? Are we a better society if we let race rule our decisions or should we let fate take it’s course?
Dedication vs loyalty, is there a difference? When you are dedicated to someone or something there is nothing you won’t do for them. When you are loyal, you have a unwavering allegiance to someone or something. Is there a point when your dedication should be put on hold or once you are loyal you remain loyal no matter what? Who determines when and at what cost?
