The Wrong Husband 2: The Finale by B.M. Hardin

wh2Marriage is probably the hardest job you will ever have in your life.  It is hard enough trying to figure out what you like and what makes you happy now you have to figure out and maintain what makes someone else happy too.  There has to be an easier way.  When you are getting to know a person and decide to get married, you are still learning about that person.  As long as you are together you will always find out something new about that person.  What if the new things you discover is something that you are not willing to accept or deal with?  How will your life proceed then?

Sassi is just making it by.  Never would she had thought that her life would be so complicated. While she thought she knew that she married the right man she had began to have doubts.  It wasn’t uncommon for a bride or groom to have butterflies on their wedding day, that was a big step!  What was uncommon was for her to continue to wonder.  Yes she loved Eddie and yes she loved their family but why was the butterflies still there after ten years ?  Had she always felt like this and just put it on the back burner or was this something new that she was letting come to the forefront?

The Wrong Husband 2 is picking up where The Wrong Husband left off.  You have everyone trying to be with and figure out who they are supposed to be with.  Hardin brings a new twist to this book and it had me walking away from the book to get myself together.  You have characters that will have you thinking “what in the hell is she thinking?” or wondering “where can I find this author, I’m mad now!”  I love writing that get you in your feelings, that makes the book more relatable to the reader.  The story line had a certain flow to it that allows you to keep up with is going on  and not be lost.  I will continue to read books by Hardin if she keeps writing like this!

The Wrong Husband 2: The Finale can be purchased on Amazon.com (both Kindle and paperback, Barnes and Noble (Paperback) and anywhere you purchase your favorite reading material.

Insincerity by Richard Godwin

Insincerity_eBook_Cover_Blue_Richard_Final (1)Many times when we meet people we try to go on the old adage “Do unto other as you would have others do unto you.”  In a nutshell that means treat people the way you want to be treated, so that means you would want to meet people who are genuine like yourself.  Once you get to know the person and learn the person beneath the shell that is when all the fun begins.  You learn what makes them tick and what makes them cry and at some point you discover if you really want to continue to know the person.  What happens when the person underneath is someone not worth knowing?  Do you try to change the person or run from the friendship?

Tammy Wayne is a woman who is lost.  She is lost because someone murdered her sister Holly.  While Tammy has taken up searching for serial killers, she is still haunted by the one who got away.  The police can’t or won’t help her so she is on her own.  What is Tammy supposed to do when she knows down in her soul that this person does really exist?  Should she just leave it alone like the police want her to or should she keep on until she reveals the truth.

Karen Sincere is married to her husband, Mickey.  It started out as a good enough marriage but over the years Mickey started to change.  Karen noticed the change but was afraid to say something to Mickey about.  She know that he had a traumatic childhood but has he gotten over those haunting events?  What if anything can Karen do to help her husband get better?  Does Mickey feel like there is an issue with him or is the issue with Karen?

Insincerity is a mystery/murder novel.  I say it like that because while there are murders going on it is more of a mystery about who, how or why these murders occur.  I love the mindset of Godwin because he keeps you wanting more.  Just when you think things are going to go in one direction they are switched up and go another way, that keeps you thinking while you are reading.  I love the book cover, it is intriguing and makes you wonder what is between the pages.  If you have never read a book written at the hand of  a British author, you will enjoy this.  While some of their words are spelled slightly different from in America, you will not be lost.  I enjoyed his work and I look forward to reading more.

Insincerity is available for purchase on Amazon.com (Kindle edition).

ROSARIO BY J. KENYARTA

PicsArt_03-03-07.30.28In life we keep secrets, not to be mean or malicious we just do.  Some secrets are just between good friends and others involve you directly but is it a good thing to keep secrets?  How or when should a secret no longer be a secret?

Mia Keys is a school teacher.  She is quiet and down to earth and doesn’t bother anyone.  Mia is trying to make an impact on her students but there is something that hangs over her head from her past that is trying to block her progress.  While leaving work for the holiday Mia comes upon a stranger to her but she is not a stranger to him.  What will she do now?  How does she get out of this situation?

ROSARIO is a novella that is the beginning of a series.  It is a quick read (under 100 pages) and there are questions but you want to know the answer.  It is a good read and I believe the author is going to make this a great series, I can’t wait to see what J. Kenyarta has next for us.

ROSARIO is available for purchase through Amazon (Kindle/Kindle Unlimited).

Vengeance Unleashed by Tony Wade

Vengeance UnleashedThe word Vengeance means:  The act of doing something to hurt someone because that person did something to hurt you or someone else.  Most people might never consider getting revenge on someone who has done them wrong but in certain cases as with Sybil it is just something to past the time away.

Sybil Maines is not you run of the mill every day average woman.  Sybil’s training from her previous employer has her a highly skilled killing machine that can not be stopped.  Sybil doesn’t bother anyone that doesn’t deserve to be bothered and she lies low the majority of the time.  It is not until her previous employer seeks her out to complete one last mission with an offer that she couldn’t possible refuse as much as she try to.  Sybil is two things curious and thorough, though she hates to admit it she will do this for herself not for them.  Little does she know that her employer have an ulterior motive also for wanting specifically her for this mission.

Vengeance Unleashed is an exciting book with some good dramatic fight scenes.  It is a mystery that has you guessing about loyalty and hoping that your suspicions are wrong.  This is Tony Wade’s freshman novel and he has a great imagination and this is a great start to the story, I can’t wait to see how it ends.

I see that Vengeance Unleashed is currently out of print so I hope that means by this book being submitted for review that it is going to be re-released soon.  I look forward to reading more from Tony Wade in the future.

The Season Of Sin by Stacy-Deanne

the season of sinEveryone loves a good murder mystery but when you find one that has you so wrapped up in the story that you are thinking about it when you are not reading it, you have found a GOOD THING!

Detective Brianna Morris and Detective Steven Kemp are an awesome crime fighting duo.  They have been partnered together for years and they know more about each other than most partners, and sometimes that works in their favor.  This case that they are working on is going to be a difficult one because it hits too close to home for them.  Brianna’s friend Nadia was murdered and Brianna was attacked during the murder.  Needless to say Brianna wants, correction needs to find who killed her friend and Steven wants to find who attacked Brianna.  There are so many twist and turns in this case  that this rollercoaster ride is going to keep you on the edge of you seat with anticipation of what is going to happen next.

Stacy-Deanne does an excellent job of keeping you at bay with who the killer is and that makes for a very interesting read, every time you think you know who it is guess again!  The characters will have you guessing and upset with them and their antics and ready to go and help the detectives because you have formed your own personal opinion about the characters and that makes for a great writer, she draws you into the story.  The flow was great, storyline is strong and overall great book.  I will absolutely be reading more novels by this author.

The Season of Sin can be purchased through Amazon.com (paperback and Kindle), BN.com (paperback and Nook) and on the publisher’s website:  http://www.peaceinthestormpublishing.com/home/.

Hoeism: Born To Do It by English Ruler

When a man beds many women he is called a player, and it is ok for men.  When a woman beds many men she is called a hoe and let me tell you it is hard to get away from that unfavorable reputation.

Shanae Alexander is a very popular girl.  Shanae doesn’t have many female friends but she has stacked up the male friends and she keeps them coming back for more.  Maxine is Shanae’s one female friend and she tries to keep her out of trouble but as they say, girls just want to have fun!  Is all that fun going to be enough for Shanae in the long run or is Shanae going to need more?

Melanie Robinson is Shanae’s older more responsible sister who always keeps Shanae out of trouble.  Melanie is the total opposite of Shanae but has no problem taking care of family.  When Shanae brings this latest and biggest problem, is this something that Melanie can fix or will Shanae have to take care of it on her own?

Hoeism is the debut novel for English Ruler and I thoroughly enjoyed it!  It gives you drama, romance, suspense, it just takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions!  I like that there was a six degrees of separation element in there connecting some of the characters and usage of current up-to-date technology.  I look forward to a sequel and future works from this author.  Great start to your writing career, keep up the great job!

Hoeism can be purchased through Amazon.com.
