From Riches to True Riches by Marie Cathrie Dukes

True richesThe one thing that we as people forget about when we are having good luck is just as easy as it was for it to come it is just that easy for it to go.  Sometimes it seems like the same people have all of the luck and you can’t never seem to catch a break, but why is that?  It leave you thinking what must I do to get that kind of luck or is that what it is?

Marie Dukes has written an autobiography about her life and her faith.  I know that as believers we are told that if we follow God’s word and his plan for us that He will never leave us nor forsake us.  Marie is showing how HER life was when she decided to take control and how it was when she let GOD lead her.  This book is her life and how she conducted her relationship with God.  Marie would just like for you to know that she is not perfect and that God has given her favor when SHE followed His word.  This is a feel good book (at least it was for me) and will give inspiration to some and guidance to others but I hope by reading this book you will takeaway something from it.

From Riches to True Riches by Marie Cathrie Dukes is available for purchase through Amazon.com(Hardback, paperback and Kindle editions) and BN.com (Hardback, paperback and Nook).

A Sinful Calling by Kimberla Lawson Roby (Book 13 Rev. Curtis Black series)

A Sinful CallingSometimes the hardest thing to ask for is forgiveness.  When you know in your heart of hearts that you are doing the right thing but it all turns out wrong  you often wonder if it was the right thing to do or if it was even worth it.  What should you do when the struggle between good and evil is weighing you down and you don’t know which way to go?  Should you continue on with the plan or should you stop and start over with a new plan?  Is it even worth the trouble?

Dillion Whitfield Black is back with a vengeance.  He is back in Mitchell with a fresh start.  After the scandal that happened between him and his father, the Rev. Curtis Black, Dillion is more than eager to prove that he is worthy of the name Black.  Dillion has his own church that is growing by leaps and bounds.  Even though him and his father aren’t on speaking terms, he is realizing that he is truly more like his father than he cares to admit.  Question is, does he still want to be like his father?

Alicia Black is struggling.  She is in a good place, she has married the man that she loves Levi Cunningham and she is happy, or so she thought.  It is not that she misses Phillip but she does have moments of guilt about how her and Levi came together.  Will she get past this guilt or will it run her crazy?

A Sinful Calling is book 13 in the Rev. Curtis Black series and it is just as powerful as book number 1.  The characters and the situations are powerful and they keep you on the edge of your seat.  You have family situations, church situations and they are all familiar like it is happening to you.  This book is written by a friend about a friend, that is how you feel while you are reading it.  That is what keeps you coming back for more!  Roby has definitely earned the title of New York Times Best Selling Author!

A Sinful Calling is available for purchase everywhere your favorite novels, audio, audible, Kindle and Nook books are sold.

Packing Heat by Zuri Day

Packing heat

Dreams, we all have them but how many of us follow them?  Does following your dreams require that you are the only one to believe in it or should you have dreamcatchers with you?  Because you ARE the only one who believes in your dream does that deter you from having one or does it make you more determined to achieve that dream?

Janice Baker is your average woman.  She has a great heart, family oriented, goal oriented and has a subtle beauty.  Janice has dreams.  While she has been working hard at them she is trying not to get discouraged.  When it looks like everything is beginning to go her way life hits her with another blow.  Will she ever achieve her dreams or should she just give up.

Douglas Carter is a great man.  He comes from a strong loving family.  He is kind, gentle and handsome.  Any woman would be lucky to have him.  How should Douglas feel when he things that he has found “the one” but she keeps shutting him down?  Should he continue his mundane life or should he try for this new and different adventure that life is offering him?

Packing Heat is the second book in the Blue-Collar Lover series by Zuri Day.  Day is introducing new characters and flashes some of the characters from the first series.  This is a romantic book but not mushy.  The characters show that being friends can lead to more if you want it to.  There is no time in this book where you feel like you are missing something, there is always something to keeps you interested in the story line.  It is a great second book to this series and I look forward to more in this series.

Packing Heat is due to be released in March 2016, so you have time to get the first book Driving Heat.  I promise you won’t be disappointed.
